Health & Safety Code 121363
Summary:
Health care providers treating persons for active tuberculosis shall examine all household contacts or refer them to the local health officer for examination. The local health care officer may require non-household and household contact not examined by a health care provider to submit to examination. Contacts must be reexamined periodically as required by the health officer. The health care provider shall report the results of any examination related to tuberculosis of contact to the health officer upon request.
