Summary:
Persons with HIV that fail to disclose their status and exposes another person to HIV by engaging in unprotected sexual activity with the intent to expose the person to HIV is guilty of a felony. The prosecuting attorney or grand jury alleging a violation must use a pseudonym for the name of the victim. The actual name of the victim and identifying characteristics may only be revealed to the court in camera and such information must be sealed. Court documents must be worded to protect the identity of the victim. The court must order the parties, their counsel, and court staff not to disclose the identity of the victim, unless the victim requests otherwise.
