Welcome to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We welcome your input and participation as we embark on meeting our goals which include to:

• Provide leadership and oversight for the efficient, effective and standardized HIPAA implementation by all agencies, departments, boards and commissions within California State Government impacted by the HIPAA requirements.
• Assure the State Legislature and Administration remain informed about the progress, issues and risks facing impacted State entities.
• Develop policies and procedures, and provide legal and technical advice including education and training for impacted State entities.
